Celebrity (and Wedding Inspirations’) favourite Elie Saab unveiled his Spring 2014 Couture Collection
recently and, as usual, we’re truly, madly, deeply smitten! The designer’s pastel-hued range was inspired
by a 19th century painting (Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema’s “The Roses of Heliogabalus”) and boasts exquisite
floral elements and signature Saab sparkle. High necklines, sheer panels and long sleeves dominate, as do
floating silhouettes – Saab staples that are key bridal trends for 2014 as well. You’ll also spot several gorgeous, Grecian-style pleated designs and a handful of eye-catching ombré creations that will appeal to brides and bridesmaids with more contemporary tastes (note the models’ hairstyles too – middle partings are in!). Prepare to fall in love …
