Boho Beach Bliss

A Bohemian dream wedding set in a coastal location with two people who couldn’t have been more in love. Follow the story of Melissa and her husband’s wedding day.

How did he propose?

Well after 5 years of being together, he finally popped the question. Most people would say it wasn’t to romantic but to me it meant the world. In our living room, he with flowers in his hand, a meal he cooked just for us, he went on one knee and while he was shaking he asked me to be his wife,and of course I said YES!.

When our beautiful son Reuben was born, we decided that we had everything we could ever want and didn’t want to complicate things by planning a wedding and getting married so we were engaged for another 4 years and we both decided ( and don’t ask me why) haha but that it was the right time for us to make a promise before God and our friends and family ,so the planning was rough like any bride to be would know (highs and lows, fights and laughter) . I had the most beautiful day a girl could ever dream of, the day was just perfect! God sent us perfect weather, the venue was just beautiful! From hair and makeup , photography ,decor oh and my dress! Even the people that made and designed my ring everything I could ever imagine! My day was perfect!

Why did you choose this venue / location and theme?

I chose the venue because it was to beautiful to pass by, and the fact that I grew up in that area made it perfect, my family still to this day lives there, I just love the coast it makes me happy! I feel at home on the beach.

What were the most important aspects that you both wanted for your wedding?

Well I think we all want everything to be perfect but I should say the pastor who married us was very important to us. The venue and the photography were equally as important as we could have beautiful pictures to always remember our special day!

What was the favourite part of your big day?

My favourite part was walking down the aisle, looking up to see my hubby to be, that proud look in his face was priceless and melted my heart , the first thing that came to mind was… This man really loves me.
