The Bride’s one wish was to get married at a venue that she had never been to before. Her mother sent her a link to a venue called Bona Dea Estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde Vallei, Hermanus.

It’s an orchid and protea farm with the most spectacular views and the estate has many special traditions that the couple absolutely loved and so incorporated into their wedding.

Marna is an Afrikaans city girl with a love for everything elegant, sophisticated and glitzy, while Michael is a German-Namibian boy with a love for nature. We decided to do a combination of natural, earthy elements with a classical, sophisticated and glamorous twist.
